Re: Do folks notice or not?

I I have a Utilikilt which is too long. Now I’ll go find a seamstress to have it shortened 1.5 inch and I have wondered what to say when I arrive... I suspect you're a lot more emotionally charged about this than the seamstress will be. It's just another piece of work to her. And I suspect that any...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

This past weekend I attended a science fiction convention called "Arisia" at the Westin Boston Waterfront hotel in Boston. Besides myself, I counted two skirts, two dresses, and enough modern kilts to practically count. For the latter, I'd have to guesstimate that 5% of the male attendees...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

Interesting about your Scotland visit, Caultron. Some years ago my wife & I visited Edinburgh on University Graduation Day and the place was swarming with young men in kilt regalia dressed up for that. We had two dogs with us and took turns to look round St. Giles's Cathedral. While my wife was...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

I've made a number of sightings over the years. The most recent was a guy wearing a black kilt at The Tilted Kilt, a chain of sports bars with a Scottish theme and waitresses who wear, uh, microkilts. Maybe a year ago I spotted a young guy working at Target, a large discount department store. Requir...

Re: Another Manufacturer Offering Unisex Skirts

I am lucky in that I have been able to pick up skirts of size 14 and 16 and wear them without alteration. My wife has given me some size 18 and 20 skirts that I can wear with a belt but will eventually need reducing in size. I would do that rather than get rid of them because I like them. You wear ...

Re: Hello from Phoenix
I'm curious, if you want to discuss it, is your wife aware of your skirting, and is she ok with it?
No, so far she's not aware, but this is obviously something I need to resolve. I'm pretty sure she's not going to like it, but hopefully she'll at least put up with it.

Hello from Phoenix

Greetings to everyone on this board. You seem like a good group and the board itself is a valuable resource. As to me, I'm a married straight white male living Phoenix, Arizona, USA. For many years I've been intrigued by the idea of wearing a skirt but I never actually bought one or put one on. Then...
