Posh English school allows skirts for boys
I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but here goes anyway: https://www.rt.com/uk/423553-school-gender-inclusive-uniforms/ An exclusive English school has decided to allow its boy pupils to wear skirts, after one wore a long skirt for a few days during inclusivity week. Unfortunately, as u...

Parents ‘sue school’ after boy in son’s class allowed to wea
Parents ‘sue school’ after boy in son’s class allowed to wear dress A school in England is being sued because one of its pupils is allowed to wear a dress (more likely a skirt?), thereby causing confusion in another pupil and upsetting his parents. Here's the link: https://www.rt.com/uk/4028...

Man squeezes into white skirt for Wimbledon serve
At this time of year we get to admire women tennis players and envy the freedom of their skirts, but one Irish man got to experience it for himself at Wimbledon when former champion Kim Clijsters invited him onto court to play a serve and, in accordance with the rules, gave him a white top and skirt...

Re: Great for Men Too
That looks like a great skirt, and Tom shows it very well. I like the colour, length, fabric, pockets, and the bit of stretch. I'd be tempted to get one if it wasn't for the ouch price.

http://www.irishtimes.com/news/environment/living-the-good-life-off-the-grid-in-co-leitrim-1.2849520 Here's a very nice short video about a guy who lives an eco-friendly life with his wife and kid in rural Ireland. And of course he's wearing a great-looking green kilt throughout. Perfect clothing fo...

Re: greetings all from northern Indiana
Welcome! :) You sound like a typical SkirtCafé regular, so you'll be right at home here. My own tastes are just like yours. Comfortable and practical. Knee-length or longer. Denim does the job very nicely indeed. Going public is a choice for us all, but those of us who do it generally find people ei...

Re: News about Apple opening up yet another store
That's wonderful! Just the kind of publicity that's needed. Skirts are cool, skirts are worn by cool men. Maybe the launch of an iSkirt is next - putting their name and logo on the next fashion revolution? (By the way,, I don't actually think current Apple gear is cool - it's creepy. But it is highl...

Re: Sportkilt
The problem there is that when a digital camera takes a "vertical" photo, the picture is normally recorded as a horizontal photo with the subject rotated 90 degrees, just like a film camera, but the fact that it was taken vertically is recorded in data (known as EXIF data) embedded in the ...

Re: Lined vs Unlined.
The trouble with linings is if you're not careful about how you clean the skirt, if you wash it instead of dry-clean it, the skirt can shrink, but the lining won't, so even if the skirt still fits, you end up with the lining hanging down below the hem. Also, the lining is usually not as tough as the...

Re: Elasticated Skirts
Elastic waists should be the norm for skirts, as we all gain and lose weight as the years (even months) pass. The reason they're not, I reckon, is due to the industry dictating fashions, making elastic waists permanently unfashionable. Instead of having our clothes adapt to our changing sizes, they ...

Re: New here!
Welcome Fred! Yes, pockets are a big issue with skirts. Why? Because skirts are aimed at women and women don't use/like pockets even on trousers and jackets since they all carry handbags. There's absolutely no other reason that I can see for a skirt to lack pockets.

It's in the news again: https://www.rt.com/shows/in-the-now-summary/329950-facebook-pages-men-skirts/ This time, 20 seconds of footage (at time 15:18) is used to introduce a 10-minute talk about the alleged "feminisation" of European men. Not very complimentary (and I hope the video's titl...

Re: first time in public with a skirt
For the record I wear plain bras (no lace or any other kind of ornamentation) to support my DD cup breasts. If you want to discuss that then you should look elsewhere; I'm sure there are plenty of forums catering to that, whether as a fetish or a medical condition. This forum is about men wearing s...
