I'm back - Big Skirt Shopping Day!

I haven't posted for awhile, but I had such a wonderful time today, I thought I'd let everyone know about my experiences. I went out to the major department stores looking for a gypsy skirt. I searched everywhere, but no one seemed to have them anymore. What's the deal? I guess they are out of fashi...

Working the skirt

I was at a party the other day and entranced by a women wearing an ankle length skirt. The way she would grab the skirt and spin with it was incredible. She worked the skirt like she would a dance partner, it was so flowing and flawless. Eveytime she got up, it was like she went into a dance with he...

I would go with the ankle-length crinkled black cotton broomstick skirt with a ruffled hem. I used to go to goth clubs quite often and I think it would be most appropriate. As long as the skirt is long and black....

Skirt Chaser, Agreed... as long as I get the first chance on any peasant skirts with a flexible waistband - ....:cheer: After that, it is first found, first served - cool with me. Actually, it would be get nice to get opinions on how a skirt fits and looks, before it is bought. I've brought some hom...

I can't comment on wearing skirts in public - I'm still working on that. However, when I purchase skirts at thrift stores, I always get interesting comments. My favorite was "I bet you can't wait to try that on," which a cashier told me as she folded up a long, crinkle broomstick skirt for...

Kilt Loving Lass,

It's great to have your support!! We really appreciate it... You wouldn't hate me in a three tiered gypsy skirt, would you? 'Cause I love to wear kilts too, but sometimes, I like the flow of a long skirt.:)

Skirt Chaser, I don't think I could handle someone else with me taking a cute skirt that caught me eye! It just makes me very happy to find great buys at local thrift stores on skirts. I found a lovely pleather black skirt today and would be upset if someone else found it before me. You id...

You can tell by my icon that I am a BIG fan of tiered skirts. Nothing beats their comfort and the flowing motion of the skirts. There are so many color and styles to choose from, it is hard to just have one....

Oops! I did it again!

Went out for the second time in pair of plaid skorts. This time I made a point to visit with people. Not many reactions, but there was one interesting one. I stopped in store and the cashier stated, "That is a cute skirt!" I quickly explained that they were just plaid skorts (I'm sure she ...

Thrift stores are a great place to search for bargains. I usually try on my skirts first in the dressing room but if I don't have the opportunity and they don't fit quite right, I'm never out a whole lot of money. I have thrown one or two leather skirts away because they were too small for me after ...

I have made the decision when I finally venture out, it will be a kilt to begin with. Actually, I already made half a baby step by wearing my plaid skorts out the other day. The skorts are so baggy and "skirtlike" that from a short distance, they look like a knee high plaid skirt. I didn't...

I wanted to stop in and say hi and introduce myself briefly. I've been a kilt wearer for many years and frequently stop by to catch up on skirt and kilt fashion ideas. In addition to kilts, I just recently hopped on the tiered crinkle skirt fashion train. I found the skirts irresistible because they...
