I agree with Iain too. Years of wearing skirts and still no sign of change. I buy my skirts from discount department stores and will try them out. Most skirts are either too feminine or if they are straight they restrict movement. I have made several skirts and the wrap skirts work. The only bought ...

There is a problem with getting women to wear more skirts - it then becomes harder for us to have a "men's" skirt. Unfortunately women tend to find a good idea, take it, make it theirs and not let men have it back! For example - hose was originally development for men. Women thought what a...

Having had one of those things a while back, my only advice is wear some decent underwear as you may bleed slightly after the procedure and may even need to use a pad for several days. Personally I would go the loose pants but its a free choice.

I am currently working on the problem with the new "kilt" I have designed and am sewing up. The kilt is basically a stretch wool pencil skirt with invisible zip on the side (to allow me to put the thing on). The front has a kilt panel and it will have false buttons so that to the outside w...

One of my clients does (she's of a religion that forbids women wearing pants) and she wears a home made broomstick style skirt just below the knees with heavy fabric and elasticised waist. The fabric is stretchy enough to allow movement but not flowing enough to get caught in the bike. Personally as...

Too much analysis!!

Too much analysis here. Do you agonize whether you will wear a shirt or a tee-shirt, or what colour socks to wear?

A skirt is just an item of clothing - wear it and enjoy it!

Yes, I notice when I go for long walks in pants (even light linen ones) that I end up with a hot and sweaty crotch, heat pimples on my legs and generally feel uncomfortable enough not to bother with the walk again. Funnily enough when I wear a skirt I feel cool and comfortable. I wouldn't refer to s...

ChrisM, What you are referring to is what is called a "camel toe". Basically when the pants are too tight the pants tend to go up let's say the first available crease. :yuck: And yes it is possible (and extremely painful) to have a camel toe on men. The problem is basically poor fit - good...

A few seasons ago Mythbusters attempted to prove that with the right combination of farm chemicals, pants could explode and catch fire. They didn't show what the "secret" powder was (nitrate fertilizer) but when they mixed it with diesel and applied a match BOOM! up went the pants. Unfortu...

Bra burning futile

In the 60's some women burnt their bras. Now some 40 odd years later women are still wearing bras, complaining about the discomfort, increasing their risk of breast cancer, having back and neck problems but are still wearing them nevertheless. Not only are they wearing bras, the fashion seems to be ...

Your forests must be safer than ours in Australia. You wouldn't dare hike nude here. Too many spiders, snakes, leeches and other things that bite, sting and generally make life unpleasant. As much as love freedom its usually a wrap skirt (if going on a well defined trail) or long pants and boots if ...

The reason for making skirts for toddlers is easy access for nappy (diaper) changes. Thankfully this does not apply to most adult males so I don't expect to see Levi's extending their range in the foreseeable future.

Dilemma here 1) Everyone has the right to wear whatever they want including men dressing as women BUT 2) The public generally don't like men dressing as women (unless it is a comedy show) because (a) it makes them feel uncomfortable (b) it is expressly prohibited in the bible (c) it sends out confus...

I'm not totally "out" with my skirting for several reasons, but mainly out of regard for the feelings of my family I would agree with that for similar reasons. I do live in a small community and the sad thing is that people don't seem to have much better things to do than gossip about oth...

Wow... 3 years already. At the time I printed out the articles and thought that this was the beginning, it wouldn't be long before men's skirts become mainstream. I have to say that 3 years on (at least in Australia) nothing much has changed. I have not seen other men wearing skirts and I have yet t...
