Always armed.
Might be a small pocket knife.
Might be the stinger on my keychain.
Might be my sword cane.
Might be a carbon fiber walking stick.
No matter what, I can defend myself.
Even if it's just my steel tipped belt.
SOMEONE will regret facing this retiree.

Re: Age, Style & Hemlines
FWIW:
I've always preferred maxi length.
Even in the beginning of my skirt wearing, almost all my favorites were ankle length.
The swing/swish/swirl of open fabric at my ankles has always added to the enjoyment of a hem.
I'll wear something shorter, but love that formal length!

Re: Treacher wore a dress to school
Well, welcome to Texas. I've been kinda forced to change states in order to retire, and the best option for us is Texas. There's a few things that bother me here, and the biggest one is the prominence of good ole boy attitudes. You know: Low IQ LGBTQIA-hating Can't drive worth a lick Wife-beating In...

Re: Overly Flamboyant Outfits Detrimental to Mainstreaming MIS?
I would suppose that's probably true.
However, the perspective is never going to be both personalized AND objective.
What's ridiculously flamboyant to one person is going to be mildly humorous or arousing to another.

for a "office-safe" prank, i put tape over the optical feedback on several people's mice.
all of them were managers, and the best reaction was one person rebooting their computer twice.

i have to give benefit of the doubt. the report says that the man came into the resaurant 3 times WITHOUT MAKING A PURCHASE. and they claim to have it on video. now, unless the store manager is a COMPLETE fool, he wouldn't make those statements without being able to back them up. store managers have...

And the rubber mallet on top of the monitor? A new definition of "bootstrapping?" The BRM is a stock prop with the RCS/RI crew, mainly for humour, but it has been deployed in instances where "percussive maintenance" is required. (One would be surprised how much blacksmithing can...

Re: Boy in heels
i think that heels are purely subjective. i like heels between 1.5 and 3 inches, both visually and wearing them myself. i have difficulty walking in heels over 2.5 inches, and i find that (visually) anything over 3.5 inches does nothing but make me worry about the stability of the wearer and fear fo...

Re: Science video with man in a kilt
POSITIVELY BRILLIANT!
a little bit of 50's-style classroom science class filming, a good show of the kilt & sporran, a simple visual explanation of physics, and an actor who doesn't mind looking a bit of the fool.
this mutant gives it 3 thumbs-up!
