Re: Platform boots

I think the 52s are going to get the most use, they can be paired up fairly readily with anything. The 72s are the best looking, but even with a zip and easy to get them on, I think you need to style your outfit more to the boots than the other way around. Thanks for the insight. Yeah, it seems lik...

Re: Platform boots

I have a pair of these Camel-300 from Demonia which I love. Out of the three proposed, I like Shaker-72: best. Shaker-100 is OK, but a bit plain, Shaker-52: is also OK, but I like the taller boot. These boots are great fun and pretty easy to walk in. They are not desperately heavy, just look heavy ...

Re: Platform boots

If I had to choose, I'ld go with #100 because, IMHO, the first pair, #52, could be bad for you, if you have weak ankles. The #72, IMHO, gives a hard 'punk/goth' vibe. The #100 in more streamlined, with, IMHO, better ankle support. They would go better with modern clothing instead of just Goth/Punk ...

Re: Platform boots

Personally though, I'm not a fan of any type of platform footwear. Each to their own, I guess. Fair enough. I've always been intrigued by these platform boots. After seeing Mouse rocking some platform boots, I thought: why not? I've always been a sneakers guy, and usually always owned a pair of Tim...

Platform boots

I've been wanting to get myself some platform boots for a while now. These Demonia (women's) boots came on my radar, and I like the look of all 3 of them. I can't decide which ones I should get, because they all look good IMO. Which ones do you think would be the most versatile pair? Shaker-52: http...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Went to Charles De Gaulle (Paris) airport today to pick up my wife and kids from their family holidays/visit. I was wearing my new white denim midi pencil skirt (hem below the knee), tucked in charcoal gray t-shirt and my new dusty pink sneakers. There's obviously 1000's of people there at an airpor...

Welcome!
The first time going in public can be daunting. As you will read on the forum, almost everyone has the same experience for their first time out in public: nothing happens :D

Re: Wearing a skirt with jeans

I haven't tried wearing a skirt over jeans, but I recall in the 2000's this was a popular look for young women/girls. If you want to go for that old skool look, I'd say go for it!

Re: Do People Notice?

Some people honestly don't notice I think. Usually when I have an interaction with someone I can see their eyes wandering down to the skirt. That's a clear sign for me they noticed. On the other hand I've had plenty of interactions where the eyes don't wander, and I assume some of them simply didn't...

Re: My Favorite type of skirt

I've only started wearing skirts a few months ago, so I'm still exploring. For now my favourite type has become the skater skirt, which ends just above the knee. Aside from the gentle touch on my thighs while walking, it's like wearing nothing at all. I also think it looks good on me :D While walkin...

Re: What feminine items do you wear?

I also don't really know how to categorize what is feminine these days. I wear skirts, besides that, I like to incorporate pink accessories. For example: a pink canvas belt, pink socks, I also have 2 pink watches, which are from the women's collection. Pink is just a color, but for some reason it's ...

Re: "Man" Bags?

Recently I bought my first skirt without pockets, so I needed something to carry my wallet, keys, phone,... I decided on getting this bag from Eastpak (The One): https://us.eastpak.com/products/the-one-black-denim?_pos=2&_psq=the+o&_ss=e&_v=1.0 I use it all the time now, even when my ski...

Re: Your Favorite Skirt Length?

My skirts range from 17 to 22"
My most worn skirts are 18 to 20" range, with the 20" reaching just above my knees. These lengths are about the same as the shorts I used to wear before I switched to skirts a few months ago.

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

I went to Brussels by train 2 days ago to visit a few museums, have lunch, drinks,... I wore my black skater skirt, gray polo shirt, gray socks and black/white Nike AF1s. When I got onto the train, looking for a seat, a guy in his 30s was following me with his eyes and once he realised I was wearing...
