A waste of time
I believe any combination of pants under or over a skirt or kilt is a waste of time. IF you're GOING to wear a skirt, kilt or dress of any kind AS A MAN in a manly way,you should LOOK manly, not any kind of a pretend man/woman combination. On this planet, at least 60% of all men wear some combinatio...

Re: irish kilts, any difference?
Yes, most Irish kilts are all one color with no tartan clan pattern. Just a single plain wool plaited wrap skirt similar to a Scottish kilt but without the family tartan like the Scottish kilts have. :D :D :D Greens with blue or or all of one of either or tan :toast: Irish kilts sporran is usually a...

Re: Men Wearing Nail Polish
Wear whatever you want to...if you want to wear the entire FEM look, that's fine for you, I guess. Not me though, I like a masculine looking skirted garment for comfort as a man, not to look like a pretend woman. I tend to the Tupenu, Sulu, Kain or my Clan "hunting Fraser" Kilt.

Re: Another Manufacturer Offering Unisex Skirts
I'd think a lot more of that "skirt" nee kilt if it came in more than ONE model in a million madras color patterns. I looked at all the pages and all the samples, looks to me like the company makes men's clothes, with one skirty looking kilt in 100+ variations of madras and no variations o...

Re: Trying the New Fashion trend
I think this "trend" is just pushing men out of skirts and back into pants like the last thousand years we were stuck in. (except the French in the times prior to Napoleon.) I've thought about it and thought about it and just can't imagine comfort coming from wearing say, a comfortable ski...

Re: "Upskirts" and other concerns for new skirters
Someone on here was referring to how some people with what he called "thunder thighs" should dress or look in skirts. I hope he's not outing those kinds of opinions in the USA these days, they can get you in jail, and repeats can get you in the hospital. It may be OK in other countries to ...

Re: "Upskirts" and other concerns for new skirters
If the worry of someone "looking UP your skirt" worries you, don't live in a big city where there are heat vents in the sidewalks. Back in the old times when ONLY women wore skirts and never wore pants in the pre=pedalpusher days aka pre 1950's. The Police in many big cities arrested dozen...

Here's an idea...If the name "half SLIP" bothers you for the female connotation, try calling them "half-skirts" which they are also known as...Just a thought.

Re: Do folks notice or not?
This time of year the tourists start to ask ??'s as to "WHY" are you wearing a skirt, Sir? To which I usually answer, depending on their attitude, "A what?" or "It's more comfortable than trousers and since I don't own any horses, motorcycles or split crotch devices of any k...

And when your life is nearly over and you're staring cancer or some other terrible illness in the face and wish you'd taken the bull by the horns and worn comfortable clothes because YOU wanted to, and didn't wear skirts all the time or whenever you felt like it, it becomes too late to do anything b...

Re: What is good (and bad) for a man to wear with a skirt
I always thought a TOP was a hat, a shirt was a MIDDLE and a skirt was a BOTTOM.
