Re: To Understand

Truth.

However, it is sad that one's circumstances will often influence those decisions.

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

I won't use a purse because I'd be apt to leave it somewhere. Exactly. I have two small (purses) bags. My wife bought them for me. They are both cross-body bags. One, the Coach bag, is large enough to hold my main camera and lens, plus a spare battery (and my cell phone case and car keys). The othe...

Re: "Kilts are ‘well and truly back’" - The Guardian

I had a new Sport Kilt arrive yesterday. My wife ordered it for me because she liked the tartan. That gives me a total of three Sport Kilts. I also have six USA Kilts (five casual and one wool), three UT Kilts (all utility kilts), three by Got Kilt (two utility, one wool) and a "few" other...

Re: So my wife got me a handbag for Christmas….

It takes a while. My wife bought me a black and a tan bag and I'm not there yet with fluidity. Maybe that's why I often wear a utility kilt - plenty of useful pockets.

Re: bike riding

I typically ride with a denim utility kilt that is just above knee length. It drapes over the back of the seat without getting near any moving parts and it is heavy enough it does not blow around (much) and never rides up.

Re: National Skirt Day

Yesterday we headed home from our winter vacation - driving 468 miles. I was in a utility kilt all day for the trip which included three stops: a Waffle House for brunch, fuel about half way, and dinner at a restaurant about an hour before we got home. I did receive a positive comment from a lady at...

Re: What have you discovered through wearing skirts and dresses?

Comfort. Plain and simple. I started out realizing that the lack of a binding inseam was more pleasant when driving long distances. Last September we embarked on a cross-country road trip and I decided to start the first day wearing one of my casual kilts. I took two kilts on the trip, two pair of s...

Re: Hello from Kent UK

All are nice but I am quite partial toward the utility kilt. I have three that I wear on a regular basis and I have not heard a negative comment. The pockets are what make wearing a utility kilt like wearing an old, comfortable pair of jeans. My wife and I are currently on a nine week "snowbird...

Re: Is anyone else trying to learn a language?

I was never much for learning another language. I had seven semesters of college French - to pass the required four. I did take French 3 and 4 in a condensed summer program - to help me pass the requirements. At the end of those six weeks I started to feel "comfortable" with French. I was ...

Re: let's list why we like skirts

Thank you, Uncle Al, for keeping this on point. I wear kilts because of the comfort (and maybe a bit of the attention I receive) but in no way do I care to read about crossing the gender threshold - in what I read, act, say or do.

Re: Cash or plastic?

In the USA it's a massive problem because all those bits of data are available to anyone who can meet the asking price, not to mention warrantless authoritarian surveillance. In other words, in the US it's a massive threat to privacy and security -- both of which are already in very short supply he...
