Re: Don't worry, most people know we're not trans

I don't think anything about my appearance suggests that I want to be or even look like a woman. I am fully aware that people see what they want to see so what I think of how I look is all that matters. It took a while to get here I must admit. It might be that all my life prepared me for not being ...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

I won't use a purse because I'd be apt to leave it somewhere. I know just you mean I use a couple of small cross-body bags with long adjustable straps, which I wear over my neck and down to one side. I don't carry much, so they are light and don't get in the way. I put them on and don't take them o...

And this is still part of the problem..
I think it's probably the biggest part of the problem. It certainly was for me in the beginning. To be perfectly honest I should say that the fear of it was the biggest part of the problem.

Re: Heavy feet.....

I tend to wear backless wood-bottom clogs a lot. They are a bit heavy, but I find them comfortable. At first, I was concerned about the heel being a round 5cm, but that really hasn't been a problem.

Re: My slip is showing!

I have not worn a slip, but I do have several wool skirts that, had they not had linings, I would have worn between them and my skin. The idea of more layers doesn't appeal to me but some wool can be terribly scratchy.

Re: Leopard print clothing Female Clothing?

I am amazed by all of the long dresses men wear for various religious reasons, each one with a special name which denotes it is not a dress. I do believe that this is true not just of religion but elsewhere as well. As long as you can call it something other than a skirt or a dress or show that it ...

Re: Redbrick: The ‘Babygirlification’ of Men

I don't see the difference between what the writer is calling babygirlification, feminization, metrosexualization, or any of the other terms explicitly coined to make males who are brave enough to break out of the norms of society seem somewhat unnatural and othered. This is something I've dealt wit...

Re: What have you discovered through wearing skirts and dresses?

Much to my surprise, I have discovered that most people don't care about what I wear. Or maybe I should say they don't convey any negative sentiments. Me seeing other men wearing skirts is a total rarity so I am pretty much a lone ranger wherever I go but as of yet no one has voiced a negative opini...

Most depressing hearing of the death of such a brave and dedicated man.
I hope that his death didn't involve torture or suffering.

Video and commentary on skirts doesn't leave men out.

This news entertainment item on skirts is light and interesting but does give a nod to MIS toward the end and mentions a book that some might find interesting.

Re: Am I Still Welcome Here?

Jeff, as far as I'm concerned, your presence is not just welcome but desirable. I enjoy reading of your jaunts. I can't imagine anyone objecting to presence. I fully understand your attraction to dresses, as I feel pretty much the same way, though I don't have your fashion sense. You always look put...

It seems that differences on any subject are being dealt with that way just about everywhere in the world. Everyone is on edge and defensive.
