I-- we are fine with being men, but not boxed in by the approved, bi-furcated, dull wardrobe granted the Marlboro man. Clearly a couple of outfits does not fulfill the needs of many in the trans community; but I do wonder if a good many of us would be happier with mere tolerance for our chosen fabr...

My own view is women brought about the change by saying it is more practical. Fashion followed practicality. For men we want the skirted option for fashion purpose only. Or that's how it's seen. Or becuase we want to be women or because we are gay. That might be true for some but definetly not all....

My two cents worth, no one should be limited in the styles they want to wear. If we are to get more men to wear skirts then styles that are not a big leap from their 'manly' wear need to be readily available. They also need to see that other men are wearing skirts looking similar to their style. But...

Not out and about in my local community or when we have visitors, but otherwise most days including out and about our yard where I can be seen if people are looking.

If so, then it's great to hear there may be a shift across the generations.

I guess to put it another way, ones and zeros may get the job done, but a vinyl record always sounds better than a CD, and a live performance always sounds better than a vinyl record. A live performance gives us 'feeling' versus the precision of a recording. Will A.I. ever give us that real emotion...

Last year in summer I visited Melbourne and was surprised at the lack of colour in what people's were wearing. I said it was very monochrome, but my daughter said they often call it "greige".
