Re: World leaders and skirts

Sorry, Haza and Meagain and "honest job" just don't occur in the same sentence. Meme isn't exactly popular over here. Mine strew, in the photo [0] they look as gormless as each other. [0] Either photo. My suggestion of an "honest job" was not in relation to those two, or any of ...

Re: World leaders and skirts

I wondered about Boris. Now I can't get the image of Boris dressed like Miriam Margoyles out of my head - thanks for that. Easier to see male leaders in dresses than Angela Merkel in one! Eddie Izzard is planning to go into politics and has said he will wear the sort of outfits that female politici...

Sinned, Talking about Harry and Meghan, I was sent this (photoshopped) pic of them both What makes you think it was photoshopped? I generally don't have much time for royals, but it seems obvious to me- https://tomandlorenzo.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Meghan-Markle-Duchess-Sussex-RWF-ABO-Tom-Lo...

Just googled "Conn's Half". I see what you mean, a line between Galway and Dublin rather than the present day border.
"Conn of the hundred battles", I would not want to get on the wrong side of him!

Just a query: How do you convert Hard-core militancy, feminism &c into hard cash to buy bread for the table?

Tom
I think he might have joined the majority of us in the over 66 age group who now buy their bread using their pensions.

Saffron coloured Ulster Big Kilt. The original kilt is obviously of Mediterranean origin. There are a score of synchronous behavior betwixt the Minoans and pre-Celtic Ireland. For example: 1) the oral history of the Stone of Scone, other crowning stones in Ireland, the Greek etymology of the proper...

Re: Corona Virus

I got my flu shot last week. I recall feeling somewhat icky for a day or so afterwards. I have the flu jab every year and feel fine, but had the covid jab twice and felt sleepy and feverish the day after; fine with that though, the second day was absolutely fine! I had my annual flu jab early last ...

Re: Edinburgh school asks boys to wear skirts on 4 November

Tomorrow I fly to Brexitshire to attend the funeral of my own closest Brother, who passed way a couple of weeks ago. It will be my first exposure to air and train transport since Covid and I am aware just how dangerous this trip might be, but Bro. went through Dentistry with me and was my Best Man ...

If we're going to turn the place a Q-Anon hangout I'll simply resign. I'd rather you didn't. False and misleading information is decidedly unhelpful in stressful times, and sowing FUD (Fear Uncertainty and Doubt) is similarly unhelpful. Nobody is asserting that the vaccines in use are 100% safe; wh...

Some realistic styles, I think, for once! https://www.theguardian.com/fashion/2021/jun/24/louis-vuittons-virgil-abloh-showcases-men-in-dresses-and-s That link did not work, it is incomplete as it leaves out the last 4 letters k i r & t. Here is the full link- https://www.theguardian.com/fashion...

Had my second Pfizer BioNTech vaccine on Saturday. Only side effect was some soreness in my upper arm from about twelve hours afterwards, but this was gone about eighteen hours later.

Re: Test Positive for COVID-19

I had the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine on Sunday at a mass vaccination centre set up in part of a university 3 miles away. The whole procedure was very streamlined and efficient.
I had some soreness and stiffness in my upper arm from Sunday night for about 15 to 18 hours, but no other negative effects.
