Hi John, Did you mean that your dad taught the British how to fly a CERTAIN make of American aircraft in WW2.?? Greg I think they were called AT6's and whether the British flew them also ... I couldn't tell you. Here is a photo that was hanging on my Dad's wall of him flying one of these beasts ......

... you could wear looser skirts, as a rather simple solution. I am sure others will offer their ideas. I could see where wearing tighter skirts could cause the problem you are experiencing ... a mere matter of physics.
