Re: Greatest Influence On Children

This side of the pond we didn't get this show. What we got, was an animation called Captain Pugwash https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hj1XX4sCibY

Re: More MIS as costumes

The first time I wore a skirt in public was in a Christmas scene when I was a kid and had to play a shepherd.

Re: Trousers, Women have more....

The utility kilt could be seen as the opposite effect: men have taken the skirt and restricted it so that it can only be worn in one length and in drab colours. So true, MB. It has always annoyed me that even the utility kilt makers often have a much wider range of colours and lengths, if they make...

Yes, especially when used in passwords where 1, l and I are all very similar as are 0 and O.

Trousers, Women have more....

One of the joys I have, while travelling around is observing what women wear, mainly with a view to including new things in the Mouse wardrobe. However a thought came to me yesterday. We talk about women stealing the trousers worn by men, but you look around and they may have started with what men w...

Re: Dr Who

The question in my mind has nothing to do with the basis of the show. It had everything to do with attitudes to men, and specifically men that wear "Women's" clothes. Your statement is what's holding men back, strengthening the constructed concept of Men's Clothes versus Women's Clothes. ...

Some days, if I am in a certain mood, I may get up from my seat on the tube, a station or two before my stop, and hang round the centre pole in the middle of the carriage....make sure people know I am wearing a skirt.....

Re: Confessions

I deliberately went to a staffed check out in the hope of striking up a conversation with the lady about my skirt and heels but she said nothing. Maybe people are really starting to get used to it or have adapted an anything goes attitude. Which is good! Many people today are afraid to say anything...

Re: Dr Who

If men are big and powerful, rough, toxic masculine, doing as they please. With a "if I want it, I take it attitude"; then men would be wearing what they want and not sitting here fretting about what anyone says. BM, I like this post. I am not saying I identify with any of the first part,...

Re: Men's? Unisex? Or Women's?

Mouse the towel was so short that I thought that it could not be used as anything other than an item of clothing. It was no more than a drying up cloth. Yes I totally agree, in one shot, it is not covering all his underwear, there again in another shot there is no towel....which seems to defeat the...

Re: Man in skirt wins Eurovision

Am I wrong in thinking that the skirt is becoming a non-binary flag? How many of the men at the Met Gala wearing skirts were non-binary, is that a bad thing? Perceptions of masculinity could be changing from 'man or not man' to a wider bandwidth for men. I don’t think it is anything to worry about....
