Re: It's Time

Given that we have clocks with Roman numerals and some with no numbers at all, I can't see anybody having a problem with telling the time.

Re: High School Prank

Question here is would they accept man in kilt playing bagpipes as their husband? Here in the UK, it is not un common for a group of chaps to all dress up in kilts for a wedding, stag do, party etc. It is seen as a great laugh. Their women folk will all be making the standard Scottish jokes and no ...

Re: High School Prank

Students hired a person to play bagpipes in a kilt. This represent there is some openness in accepting men in skirt from new generation. https://abcnews.go.com/US/video/illinois-high-school-students-hire-bagpiper-follow-principal-110243644 I think the tartan kilt on a Scotsman is a known thing the ...

Re: Pride

Come to think of it africa, the middle east, and certain parts of southeast asia, these cultures have mens skirts as normal attire, and homosexuality/genderbender or whatever is not even remotely considered okay. Well I am not brave enough to try them out in a skirt. But don't let my lack of courag...

timemeddler wrote: Thu May 16, 2024 2:53 am How about Parts of Africa, mens skirts are normal there and pride is basically banned.
I don't know enough about the cultures to presume, however I would be really careful as it is one thing to be thought of as gay here in the UK, and quite another in some countries.

Re: Pride

I wouldn't go near one, that's the last kind of association men in skirt needs. I think the pride movement has allowed the space for a whole range of minorities to live in a civilised world. Please note, around the world, places where the pride movement is not accepted are probably also tough place...

Re: Where will we be in say... ten years?

I think in 10 years time, the vast majority of people, both male and female will still be in a range of ordinary boring easy to wear clothes. You see this in what the average woman wears now compared with a few years ago. There will still be the stand out people both male and female who you notice i...

Re: Greatest Influence On Children

I thank the gods daily that I have no progeny. I glimpsed what this place was going to become in the late 1970s and swore I would never have children. I do not believe I could take the hatred of a child for bringing him or her (verbiage used very, very deliberately) into the world. And hate me they...

Re: Doing away with "Embracing feminity"

In addition to flamers and drag queens, men who take on made up feminine names and pretend to be women when they present en femme , harm our cause. John John, this is very true. Men that attempt to deceive everyone into believing that they are women are very harmful to the concept of fashion freedo...

Re: giant skirts

Speaking of unique fashion choices, have you ever thought about wearing a latex skirt? It's a totally different style, but it can also be a cool and bold way to stand out. Maybe not the best for driving, but perfect for a party or a convention ! Hi Alexsunshine, I have made a couple of latex skirts...

I believe the Scots think of themselves as part of the “Western cultures”.

Re: More MIS as costumes

The first time I wore a skirt in public was in a Christmas scene when I was a kid and had to play a shepherd.
