Just don't wear them in muddy areas, I found that out the hard way this weekend. Came back in and my hem was all muddy on the inside. I bought one a month ago and have been wearing it out and really not panicking all that much in it (must be a higher level of confidence or semantic based logic given...

Thanks, I have plenty of others to wear, all pretty much the same with the exception of the longer denim ones, so I have plenty to pick from. Not sure if I'll even get the invite as his mom and I never can get together.

Home Schooling Graduation: Should I?

Long time, no posts, sorry. Okay, home schooling graduation coming up. Said young man was h.s.'ed by his mom (licensed in WA State, so she's not winging it) because the locals don't take kindly to a kid of Middle Eastern descent without going into too much elaboration. Of greater import, both he and...

Hi Lucky, Having a child shouldn't change anything, except maybe a little bit of the world's perspective if the child is brought up in a home where mom and dad both wear skirts. Might make the world a bit more open, a bit more loving, if the kid looks at the parents and says, "Hey, there's noth...

Broomstick skirts are the longest of skirts. Waist to ankle - nothing exposed to the imagination here. Yeah, they leave everything up to the imagination. On females, you find yourself praying for dark tights and no foundations working in conjunction with backlighting for at least some decent X-ray ...

Southwest Indian Catalog: Any luck orderwise?

I think that's the title of it, there may be a "Foundation" in the title, too, but I got their catalog in the mail and there are some really nice looking broomstick skirts in there for around $60 I was considering ordering. Has anyone here ordered from there before? Any info would be great...

Wow, okay, cool. I'm relieved.

I just didn't want to offend anyone. I don't know anyone here personally, but I like everyone here. Glad that's all sorted out then.

cr, read it aloud in different ways.

crfriend, I think I'm the one being misinterpreted now. If you go back through and read it several times, shifting emphasis on word groups each time through, whether main subject "I hate to concur" or object of the preposition "with Scott," the phrase can lend itself to ambiguity...

Oh, alright. I don't want to offend anyone and would hope if I did folks would call me on it ASAP.

Why? What did I do? Have I offended? If so, I'm sorry. Please elaborate.

Oh, this will frost some of us, it did me!

We were discussing "reading gender" in my classes this week and how gender is a construct. A lot of the issues we touched on were old hat to this forum as far as: Guy comes home to find girlfriend/wife in his clothes = hot but if a woman came home and found her boyfriend/husband in one of ...

Being long

Well, see how long it measures from the waist. Female legs are usually (or maybe it's the only ones I notice) are slimmer and longer than the tree trunks guys have. I'm far from short, but skirts that run over 30" from the waist usually hit me somewhere around the ankle or longer. Yeah, though,...

Don't let the weight stop you.

The great thing about the long gypsy type (broomstick, crinkled, hippie, etc.) is they all have elasticized waists and a fair percentage have a drawstring to boot, so you can cinch them up as you please as they're all freesized. They go in as your waist goes in. As for the tights with the long skirt...

I just like how I look/feel in them

I like females, and everyone I've liked I see nothing wrong with (except one who cut her hair short, which seemed so horrible as her hair was beautiful). I like the way they look in skirts, too, although the "headband about the hips" look doesn't appeal to me. Leave something to the imagin...

I've a better definition

though this might be risky as it veers close to the R word, but I've a better defintion, for him and anyone else who falls into that category: "Proof that if there is a higher power, he/she/it failed miserably."

Who's with me on this?

Have a great weekend all.
