Re: Pajamas: not just for bedtime anymore
A few years ago I was waiting to cross the street. I was wearing a white skirt with a scalloped hem and tiny blue polka-dots... probably the most feminine skirt I've ever owned. Waiting next to me was a grown man wearing pajama bottoms with the faces of Sesame Street characters printed on them. All ...
Shavers
Just curious, what do you guys use to shave your faces, those of you who do? I've been using a Norelco electric shaver since I was a teenager, the type with the three circular razor heads, and I must say, it leaves a lot to be desired, particularly on my neck. I can spend forever running the darn th...

Re: Tops from the other side of the aisle
If you don't mind my asking, do you shave your chest hair? I've wanted to try some women's tops but my chest hair runs all the way up to my neck and (at least to me) looks pretty hideous when too much of it is visible.

Skirts at work
I know a lot of you have made the jump to wearing skirts to work, but I haven't seen a lot of discussion about what that was like at the outset. I work at a semi-casual office in New England doing computer-based work. My co-workers as yet don't know about my skirts; I'm effeminate enough in general ...

Chest hair
Hello all, I just found a dress that meets my lengthy list of qualifications (fit, length, material, cut) after a very long time searching... hooray! However, it's not perfect: the neckline is cut about an inch and a half lower than that of a shirt, which is enough to reveal my copious chest hair. T...

Re: not the only ones
I can't speak for the rest of the world, but here in New England it's not uncommon to see people out and about wearing pajama pants, so maybe that's why people want them to have pockets. Personally I think it looks ridiculous, but who am I to judge?

Re: Dry cleaning: avoidable?
I guess I'll try washing it by hand first and see what happens. If that goes well then I may put it in the washer next time. Thanks all.

Dry cleaning: avoidable?
Well, my very first skirt arrived in the mail, complete with an unexpected little tag specifying "dry clean." [Edited: I originally wrote that it said "dry clean only," but actually the word only is omitted. I'm given to understand that that's somewhat significant.] I'm opposed t...

Re: Headbands
I've been wearing them for a while now. It's hard to find one that's comfortable but they do a wonderful job of keeping your hair out of the way. I was uncomfortable about them at first as they did seem a little girly but I'm quite used to them now, and no one else really seems to pay them much atte...

Re: Summer dress?
I must say, this is one of the best forums I've ever seen in terms of swiftness of replies. I'm pretty skinny, actually. I just measured my waist and it appears to be about 29 inches around (that's 73.66 cm to you lucky people using the metric system), assuming I'm measuring it correctly (the narrow...

Summer dress?
Hello all, Right off the bat I should admit that I haven't actually started skirting yet, although I've been lurking around here for a while. I'm still living with my family and since not even the women in this household wear skirts I've been rather intimidated. However, my girlfriend and I are movi...

A good picture
Not sure if this is the correct forum to post this, but I thought you all would want to see this picture, which has a number of interesting traditional Pakistani garments in it (scroll down to # 37). http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2011/03/bodies_in_motion_dancing_aroun.html The other pictures are ...
