Re: Wearing pants at the hospital

Rick and Jeffrey (and anyone else going through this), I've lost many friends and relatives to various cancers over the years and I feel for you and wish you all the best and speedy recovery. Cancer is insidious. And I also sympathize with judgmental family. I have none of my own, but my wife's fami...

Re: What is everyone's Thanksgiving outfit?

I may be coming late to the Thanksgiving clothing-choice party, but I thought that I'd report as I haven't been here in a while. I wore a purple-ish T-top with a dark red and cream-colored printed silk skirt and black flats. But I recently came out as transgender so none of the relatives paid any ex...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

This morning I had a sighting. My first in quite a while actually. While driving in to work at about 6:30 through Phoenix I came upon a crash with a few people standing on the side of the street, one of them was an older gentleman in what must have been a Utilikilt. I wasn't able to get a picture, n...

Re: Never heard of him...but ace!!

Looks good, in my unbiased opinion! All he needs to do is take his shorts off and feel the breeze as the dress flips around his thighs. There's a pic of an Tweet where he says that he loves the feel when he's wearing a dress with no pants and you "swerve too hard", probably meaning the fe...

Re: I saw it on a TV show...but which one?

B&B, "The Man With Two Brains" is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen, and one of my favorites. It doesn't get nearly the respect that it deserves. I suspect that I was one of the very few who saw it in the theater when it first came out. I do remember the "Skant", thou...

Re: I saw it on a TV show...but which one?

On a different note: does anybody remember the Fox series from 89-90 called "Alien Nation"? It was based on a movie of the same name, and about a race of aliens from a crashed slave ship that had to integrate into contemporary American society. One of the main characters had an uncle who w...

Re: I saw it on a TV show...but which one?

This might be a wild guess but how about "Dharma & Greg"? Her parents were hippies and it sounds like something her dad would be in to.

Re: A 51-year-old male schoolgirl?

I remember something within the last few years about a guy in the UK doing the same thing. In his case it was in a small town and people just found it creepy. If I remember right, wasn't he banned from dressing like a school girl? Quite a different response. Anyway, I applaud his attitude and guts t...

Re: Christian MEN Wearing Skirts

Most of us on these boards live in the western world which is dominated by one form or another of Christianity. Doesn't matter whether you personally believe in any of it or not, if you go out in into the world you are going to run into somebody who is very opinionated and dead sure in their beliefs...

Re: When do you say it's *hot*?

How hot you feel has as much to do with the sunlight as it does the air temp. Here in Arizona it does get really hot, earlier than most places, but you can stand the temperature as long as you're not out under the sun. Even if it's not really that hot we have a lot of direct sunlight, and that makes...

Re: Skirts should be a normal choice for men & women

Short shorts were all the norm during the 70s and 80s. Just look at old NBA films from that time. Then during the late 80s and early 90s they started to get much longer. Now they're basically just somewhat shorter pants, not really shorts. So I don't see what all the controvery would be. All fashion...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

The other day while going to lunch, sitting in the left-turn lane waiting for the light to change (at Broadway and 40th St. in Phoenix) across the street on the corner there was a guy in a white hoodie with the top up and a long white skirt that went down to his sneakers. He had a Bible in his hands...

Re: Fijian island bans men's pants on Sundays

My church (Mormon) has missionaries all over the world (you've all seen them). Their standard "uniform" consists of a typical business-type suit to make them look professional and respectable. I don't know if it's still the case or not, but a standard "uniform" for a Mormon missi...

Re: Hell explained by an engineer

This has been around in at least a few forms for more than 20 years. I remember reading it back in the early 90s, although the last bit at the end is new (to me). But it's still funny. In fact, I was just thinking of it recently and wished I still had a copy of it. Thanks for posting.

Re: Man wearing skirt set on fire

I read about this the other day and I feel for him deeply. It's quite sad when someone thinks that it's ok to do this, even if it was a "prank". Fire destroys, everything! Hope that he can heal quickly but I know that it will be a long road for him. I also read comments on a few other site...
