Re: Microgreens and or hydroponics.
Hello Mishawakaskirt After retiring as an electrical engineer, I built up a commercial hydrophonic greenhouse business on my property in Tiverton, Rhode Island. You can search for Lydon Family Tomatoes on-line. Some details of the business may still be available. I sold the property in 2015 and move...

Re: Where have so many members gone
When I started on the skirt cafe, many of the wise contributors helped me overcome my insecurities in going public and also how to deal with the "push back" from MOH. It's been about 5 years and I am now in a comfortable place in my relationship with my wife and also the new community in w...

Does adding belt/loops distract from neat appearance.
I have found that it becomes necessary for me to adjust my skirt since my waist expands and contracts. I also found that on some skirts that unless I hike it above my natural waist line I will have a ripple of skirt fabric below my belly. I like to have a smooth flow of fabric from the skirts waist ...

Re: Hiking, Back Packing, walking, jogging, running
Wonderful topic! I hike/walk almost exclusively Spring, Summer and Fall here in the White Mountains of New Hampshire in a kilt or skirt. Comments like "That looks comfortable" or "Where can I get one of those" are frequent when fellow hikers strike up a conversation on some other...

I forgot to wear green, but I didn't forget to wear my skirt to work today!
It would look even better with a shorter jacket or maybe vest. Still like your style!

I love the third one. Alas.. I don't have the legs or knees to wear a mini. I'm not sure about wearing tights to cover up my leg faults. I have very muscular calf and thigh muscles---comes from being a high level alpine skier .

Every outing this month has been with me wearing a skirt or my family kilt. The new change is my church friends for the first time seeing us at Mass in my kilt. Mom and Dad are from Ireland so I am partial to Mom's McKernan tartan. My other favorite is the Nova Scotia tartan kilt. My first day weari...

Re: Where have so many members gone
Hi All I still check in now and then to gander at the fashions. Lately(the last year) the fashions that are being displayed by members are much to flamboyant for me. I get most of my fashion tips for skirt color coordination from my wife. She has finally come around to accept my skirt wearing. Also ...

I'd like to come to the defense of Ralph. We can all come with some very good arguments as to why we shouldn't feel uncomfortable wearing a skirt in Ralph's neighborhood. If you lived a conventional lifestyle being accepted and comfortable in your skin and dressing like your friends and neighbors wh...

Although I like the style, most blouses styled for woman are too short when worn by men. We have much longer trunks. I
prefer tunic styles that end just below the butt.

Hi Jim, That's a good looking skirt! Take it easy with your wife' feelings. Somehow how we look sometimes is a reflection of their own self worth. Its taken 5 years for my wife and family to come to an acceptance of my skirt wearing outside the house and to participate in activities with me skirted....

Re: My First Mini - My OH Reaction "OMG it's Ugly"
Its taken about 5 years to get comfortable wearing skirts in our neighborhood and having the acceptance from wife and children. Yes it's very important for to have my wife's acceptance. When she realized that I wasn't a transvestite or thinking of a sex change the issue was a no brainier. A skirt wa...

Definitely like the styles. However, what size would best accommodate a mans broad shoulders Large or Plus?

Re: My First Mini - My OH Reaction "OMG it's Ugly"
Thanks for the comments guys. My wife reaction now makes sense. Some of us do not have the legs to wear a mini. I have skirts that run about 2 inches above the knee and have not got any kickback from my wife(The Fashion Police). So I'll follow her advice. You know "Happy wife--happy life"....
