Re: Do folks notice or not?

I have party to go to at a friends house and he and his wife [she is Filipino] know I wear a skirt. But he has asked me not to wear one to the party as most of the guests are Filipino and he is afraid that I might offend them, Simple solution: Wear a dress.  I've heard quite a few time...

Re: A Missed Opporchancity

How about Game of Thrones? Pretty much every male character is wearing some sort of skirt, robe or dress.

Re: Tights, pantyhose, knee scocks

i like the nails! i have not done it except when i was makeup shopping with a friend. but i found it pretty cool, i am also an artist and appreciate art. I'm far from being an artist when it comes to nail polish, but I think you will find RedditLaqueristas quite inspiring - there's some exceptional...

Re: Miss-gendering & misgendering

Since I started wearing skirts, which is just about six months ago, I have never been mistaken for a woman but I wouldn't expect it anyway because my upper half is far from being feminine. But like some of you I also noticed that people are more friendly and I very well remember the warm feeling whe...

Re: Skirtcraft Kickstarter is Live

I think the main principle of SkirtCraft was to design unisex skirts, it shouldn't matter if you're XX, XY, XXY or whatever.

I'm still waiting for my replacement skirt (the first one was way to big). It arrived at customs already and it seems I have to pay some ransom again to set it free... ;)

Re: Tights, pantyhose, knee scocks

I think women spend as much time pulling up pantyhose or tights as men do. Usually, though, you don't see them doing it in public. I think it's anatomy mostly. Woman have smaller waist and wider hip which keeps pantyhose in place without problems. For most men on the other hand waist and hip are ne...

Re: Tights, pantyhose, knee scocks

I've tried stockings, unless they are the ones with the elastic grippy material that can help them stay up, they slowly make their way down my thighs How about a gartner belt? Actually, because silicone stripes are giving me bruises after a few hours and pantyhose are to constrictive, I've tried it...

Re: Levi skirts

An overwhelming "YES" I like that shirt dress - EXCEPT - it is 20 cm's out of my size range ! Hmm, the design is pretty basic. It's not even a one piece dress, but a shirt and an A-line skirt sewn together at the hem. No darts at the skirt, just gathered up fabric. Simple hems. It can't b...

Re: Cato fashions

In stores that cater only to women (in the traditional sense), I am sometimes offered the use of an employee restroom or stockroom to try things on, as an alternative to the awkward situation of a man in the women's fitting rooms. The employees restroom? A stockroom? I find that even more h...

Re: On crossdressing

I'm not sure if it's really that simple. Sure you can state that you don't belong in the crossdresser labeled box, but unfortunately all the other people have their very own boxes and because they use societies rules for it, we end up in their crossdresser box. Or worse. ;) I dont think we can do mu...

Re: Tights, pantyhose, knee scocks

Thanks, Ross! :) It's my preferred length too. I have two which are a few inches shorter, but I need to take special care with them when sitting or bending down to not scare children away... ;) @skirted_in_sf: > I see you polish your nails too. :) Yes, I started with it a couple of months before the...

Re: Tights, pantyhose, knee scocks

With temperatures dropping below 10°C / 50°F I found it too cold to go bare skinned, so I tried a few options. Meggings are quite comfortable as they have room for the male parts and come with a fly but they are way more expensive than womans leggings and the fly isn't really a necessity for me beca...

Re: In all seriousness how do you sit?

I have a maxi denim skirt with a front slit. It's not a big issue because the slit starts below the knee, but it's not very comfortable for walking or when climbing stairs. I will add another slit on the back and sew the front closed. Or maybe I'll sew in a zipper for both... That might also be an o...

Re: Summer...to shave or not to shave?

Well, it was unavoidable. I just shaved my legs. :) Problem was that I am not that comfortable in leggings as they keep squeezing my best parts and are only available in thicker material. Some sort of "hold-up leggings" would be a solution, but you don't get something like that anywhere ex...
