Re: Do folks notice or not?
My family went shopping yesterday at one of the biggest malls here around. Mall might be an understatement, it's more like a small town with hundreds of shops. In Germany all shops are closed on Sundays, leaving only Saturday as family shopping day, so we had to share the place with thousands of oth...

Re: Summer...to shave or not to shave?
I'd use an electrical body hair shaver first to shorten the hair to stubbles, then finalize with a blade. But I've only done this for facial hair yet. I thought about shaving my legs too, but I seriously doubt MOH would be very excited. Overall I adopted quite a few female attributes last year and s...

Re: In all seriousness how do you sit?
I have to admit, the proper way to ride a bike with a skirt on, is somewhat puzzling to me. Does one allow the skirt to drape over the seat all around, or have the back of the skirt rest on the seat. Last weekend I was riding my bike in a skirt for the very first time. It was a denim mini and at fi...

Re: My first real outing
Welcome to the wonderful world of interaction with society. Well done! :) I never had a problem with coming out to other people, in fact I enjoy the various reactions, sometimes even the negative ones... ;) I found coming out to my family, especially MOH, was quite a bigger issue to me. 3) On a road...

Re: EJ Johnson (Magic Johnson's son) skirted
The bypass is only a tool to get a person back into condition to improve their health. A bypass does not improve health, on the long run it takes it. If the body loses its ability to control weight, there are causes and those causes need to be adressed to regain health. EJ is not doing that. Instea...

Re: Riding a Bike in a Skirt
They don't seem to have any brakes. Is this an unfortunate trick of the photography, or does it tell us something about the priority given to bikes in the Netherlands? I'd guess it has a back pedaling brake, just like the very similar bike I rode as a child. It had an additional front wheel brake, ...

Re: German busdrivers wear man skirts.
I am wondering if the company had a skirt available as a part of the uniform for the ladies, and the lack of women making applications was down to the assumption that they would have to wear skirts? They had a skirt as part of the uniform for the ladies, but 2011 they found that they need a new mod...

Re: German busdrivers wear man skirts.
If they need bus drivers, then they need people who can drive buses. How is having a uterus a qualification for driving a bus? It's not a matter of having a uterus, but one of equal treatment. There's a quota for the number of woman they employ and this is their way to attract more woman for the job.

Re: That was easier than expected... :)
dillon, my wife and I are far from being good in spoken communiction. But after 30+ years we know each other to an extent where we can also hear the unspoken. And of course to some small degree we also learned to speak about our feelings. In our earlier days this lack of good communication was in fa...

Re: That was easier than expected... :)
Barefoot Joe, I'm envious of the acceptance shown by YOH. I think my history of being different paved the way for her acceptance. We both went through the whole "what will other people think?" twice for being barefoot and wearing nailpolish and each time we learned that scarcely anybody d...

Re: Skirtcraft Kickstarter is Live
But I have to admit I am not going to buy Joe's skirt simply because it is black. Joe said: "We're hoping to add colors, though! If we reach our goal early, we'll add stretch goals for additional colors, one at a time." If you tell Joe your preferred color and it becomes a stretch color b...

That was easier than expected... :)
Just a few weeks before, when the first thoughts about how it would be wearing a skirt came to my mind, I had serious doubts about it. I already came out twice in the last four years with being barefoot and wearing nailpolish, so I know how it feels and what's the best way for me to do it. But those...

Hopefully we'll get a warm Christmas this year or I will be shoveling snow in it.

Re: Lungi/Dhoti/Sarong (That kind of thing)
and ask a tailor to make a sarong by add two ribbons. And ready is your sarong. Hmm, just wondering: What are the ribbons for? I have quite a few sarongs and they are just a rectangle of light cloth (mostly 67" x 43") with no ribbons at all. Im just wrapping them around me folding them tw...

Re: A friendly hello from Germany
Thanks for the nice welcome... :) In case you are wondering, I had to change my screen name since "joan" (coming from my first and last name) has too much of a feminine touch and might lead to false conclusions. ;) So I hereby shall be known as Barefoot Joe. @Donald: > Great to h...
