Would this happen to be a Rupert Murdoch publication?

Re: Great experiences!

It must be said, however, that depending on the garment, a skirt or dress could be a fire hazard in a way that no pair of trousers would ever be. Women have been killed by dress fires. This is not a general problem, but particular to specific types of dresses and fabrics. Could you be more specific...

Sticking with Win7 here, but have you seen if there is a new driver for your video card? I'm assuming Windows recognizes which monitor you have. :x

Lure? There's no lure, they are just what I wear every day.

Re: Vendor question

You might wait for Kerbstone to reply. I seem to recall he had a skirt suit made in the far east a couple of years ago. If you do go with the vendor you have found, ask them to send you a swatch of the proposed fabric. High quality suiting fabric is very expensive ($40 to well over $100 per yard at ...

Again I agree with Coultron, that the toenails are usually the guilty party when ladders appear....so, like the irate film director.....'Cut, cut. cut!' Tom A one word alternative: Pedicure  I gave up cutting my own nails over ten years ago and now just get them done professionally. One of t...

Re: Another (almost) Skirty Scot

Here's another thought. What if your wife told you one day that she was going to get her face tattooed, or her head shaved, or her body heavily pierced, or all three? Well of course we'd tend to claim these things are much more extreme than our wearing skirts or, since it's only hypothetical, to cl...

...The nylon in the hosiery is a non heat conductor... Actually nylon is a moderately good heat conductor, not as good as metals but a lot more conductive than air. It also has a large specific heat, so it feels cold when you first touch it. This is more in line with what I have found about sheer o...

Re: Roger Federer in a kilt!

Hmm, the text says a woman in the audience gave Federer her kilt. I wonder if she just happened to have a spare or if she took off one she was wearing. If the second is true, was she wearing a men's kilt or did Federer end up wearing a woman's kilt? Also, what did she end up wearing? 8)

Re: Maybe a skirt suit remedy

I found a jacket on the $5 rack at the consignment shop I've been buying from recently. I looked inside to find a size label - no label except for a patch in the upper chest that said Brioni. That is a very expensive Italian suit brand. I took it to a dressing booth and tried it on. Not bad fit, a l...

California is interesting. If you stay somewhere longer than 30 days, that gives you tenants rights, which in California, apparently the law favors tenants heavily. There was a movie about that two or three decades ago. I can't remember the name (something about Pacific Heights which is a neighborh...

Greenboots - I had a hairline like the one in you avatar picture in my late 20s. :) Discovered it in the three way mirror while being fitted for a suit. If you ever want to post pictures of yourself make sure they are in the Pics and Looks section. It is blocked by being scanned by search engine bots.
