I just bought a Kindle copy of his book. One of the reasons I added skirts to the line up is that my kilts were getting a bit beat up from being worn constantly. :D

Re: The Tactical Kilt Dialectic

I'm a big fan of "hill-walker" kilts. Only four yards of material, fewer pleats and an inch or two shorter than your standard military-style kilt. The best thing is that they have trouser-style pockets. To me, the cargo pockets on a utility-style kilt spoil the lines of the garment. The on...

Re: Henrik Vibskov's skirt

The term "Gawd-awful" comes to mind. Why do designers insist on showing the most hideous outfits? Their choice of bizarre-looking models doesn't help either. If they think creations such as this are going to make men keen to try a skirt, they are sadly mistaken. Take an ordinary good-looki...

Re: men in tights

. . . though I am considering wearing some coloured tights (see photos elsewhere) with my skirts. I say that you should go for it. I've been wearing coloured tights with my kilts for a number of years and this season, branched out in to colours beyond black/navy/grey. They look good w/ the kilt and...

Re: A New Approach to Explanations of My Skirt Wearing

Potbelly,
I've had a look at your site and I think you're on to something here. Like all such projects, it will need tweaks and refinements but keep at it. You're off to a good start. :D

Re: Discussion of gender neutral clothing and men in skirts

My ears were pierced back in 1985. This Aug. marks 30 years so I need to think of some way to celebrate. I thought the sexual preference symbolism at the time was absolute b.s. and I didn't think I should be regarded as a 2nd-class citizen because I have a Y chromosome. At the time, very few ...

It's a shame we can't read their minds and discern the precise reasons and feelings behind those smiles. :)

Re: Discussion of gender neutral clothing and men in skirts

At about 4 minutes in, she starts discussing that gender neutral is often taken to mean women wearing men's clothing, and attacks the idea that men can't wear skirts, and discusses why men are resistant to it. Jim, I watched the video & noticed the standard "The world is going to hell in a...

Re: Hello from London

You must remember that while many of the men who see you skirted will think you odd, a few will look on wishing they had the nerve to do the same. I could not agree more. Here's 2 quick stories from my own experience: 1. Years ago, I wore my kilt to an after-work office social event. There were a n...

Gentlemen,
There are such tings as needle threading devices. :) They've been around since I was a lad. Have a look on Amazon. That's where mine is coming from and it should arrive tomorrow. Of course, they may not work with EU Needles!

Darryl,
I've been whistled at whilst I was wearing my kilt. I was in Norfolk, VA which is home to large Naval Base and therefore has a lot of sailors. I think that pretty much explains it all.

From the Guardian (today)- http://www.theguardian.com/fashion/2015/jan/28/men-in-tights-how-chaps-are-reclaiming-hosiery Well done, Guardian! It was bitterly cold this morning - and will be so every morning of this week - and it's a long hike into work from the car park. Thank goodness for tights! ...
