Re: More Comebacks

Gee this is an old thread, I had forgotten about it. I never had to use any comebacks. It is still fun thinking of new ones, although it seems just an intellectual pursuit.

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Last Friday evening I did notice a fellow (two people) behind me while I was at the supermarket checkout who was giving me this disapproving glare, Are you sure you didn't get the last packet of something off the shelf? It can be a bit like that these days :) Sadly, he might have had a mental healt...

Re: Home improvement

I think the linoleum or Stu's suggestion of timber finish are the best options; not likely to crack, nicer to stand on and more forgiving if something is dropped.
Good project to keep your mind off "things".

Re: Keeping the manhood from poking out

misha, I see it this way, "If they are prepared to display then I'm prepared to look." And sometimes I see a lot! Customers coming to the till showing cleavage and then a lot more when they bend over to pick something up. Camel toe - seen them. Short skirts - yes again. Tight leg coverings - yes. B...

Re: To skort or not to skort?

Who would have thought I skort would be cooler than a skirt.... A lot of sports wear is made from synthetic materials and sweaty against the skin without a cotton lining or substantial underwear. A linen skirt is good for hot weather. I don't like skorts because I like to wash my underwear more oft...

I'd cut a slit under the flap and add a pocket, I think.
There are pockets but accessed behind the top of the flap. Just takes a bit of getting used to.

Re: Skirt Brand Names

I am not sure if there is any rationale with skirt brand names. I quite like the skirt despite the fake pocket flaps ........ I have another with a similar detail and found myself lifting the flap to try and access the pocket. https://www.picclickimg.com/00/s/MTM0NFgxMjAw/z/8HwAAOSw-htbR-86/$/Zoo-Yo...

Re: Colourful skirts

That is a nice combinarion of colours. I have a couple of colourful skirts, of the mini variety. One cheerful number I bought that I liked the look of with the prospect that it wouldn't fit ....... it did fit and is a lot of fun. https://www.picclickimg.com/d/l400/pict/283782116252_/Little-Horn-Laye...

Re: Return of the dandy?

Well, if you are disappointed about going un-noticed in a skirt, here is an option.
Men wearing skirts is unfashionable enough. I think dandyism would be moreso in these days of macho-ism.

For those who "dress to the left" (an old tailor term).

Re: Skirts worn with a corset

Perhaps when using a jack-hammer.
Actually I would probably just settle for a kidney belt on a building site.

I associate that look with the steampunk style, which I quite like ............. Victorian engineering principles applied to clothing.

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

All of a sudden I hear an almost yell, she was LOUD... right beside me, a lady, going the other way, says "Wow, I *love* the skirt!". It took me a second to process what's going on, that she's talking about me (it's my fourth time out in a skirt - still not routine). I look at her, and she's all gr...

Re: Has the attention on transgendered individuals helped us?

Congratulations, I think that is all very good, just and as it should be. I am happy for those who are helped by this determination.

I don't think it helps the likes of me wearing a mini skirt and having a short beard; purely a clothing choice ....... luckily I am finding that I don't need help :)
