I do try to go for a flat front, but I'm likely in the minority.
Opaque tights tend to keep everything, erm, "level" for me.

Has anyone had experience buying from Inherit Clothing?
Torn between the philosophical leanings of the proprietors (I get the feeling they'd take issue with me wearing their items) and their inventory (the longer lengths I prefer).

Re: Dr Who
Wish the series was airing stateside on BBC America, still. Ncuti has been the first incarnation in the new series where, limited as my exposure to him has been, I felt like, "Okay. THIS is the Doctor Who I grew up with!" His portrayal seems more aligned with 3-7. Capaldi came close, but t...

All three of mine are ankle-length or longer. This one from Style J is a favorite.

Re: Ballet Flats
Got my pair from Amazon Essentials. Size 12 male = Size 14 female shoewise. Ran me around $25. Black leather. Wanted something dressier than my tennis shoes peeking out from my ground-lengths. Hope that helps.

Re: Wearing a skirt on Halloween?
Yes, but not because it's Halloween. It's another day spent on the right side of the sod and I want to live it happy. Just got two ground sweeper boho skirts in the past month and I'm waiting for them to dry. They spent yesterday hopefully getting the excess dye rinsed out of them. I did pull on my ...

Re: Skirts to dresses
Glad to see this thread revived as I either missed it the first time or wasn't interested initially. Bought a maxi-length knit tank dress from one of the many heads of the Lane Bryant hydra. Tried it on with a t-shirt and half slip and felt the same confusion I did when I first pulled on a skirt at ...

Are you using the remain in place rule to your advantage?
Hi there, Just wondered how many folks were taking advantage of the state/county lockdowns in terms of skirt/kiltwearing frequency. The school where I'm teaching went remote and since so many students lack video access, we're going with the best technology 1998 has to offer. I think I've spent...

Re: Flared Jean skirt
Did an inventory and my skirts seem to fall into either the knit black maxi category or jeans skirts like this. I love them!

Re: leather skirts
Had a genuine one about fourteen years ago. Don't know if it was the cut of it, but I wasn't terribly fond of it. Side zip, too, which didn't endear me to it. Looked a bit Tina Turner 1985 in hindsight. About two years ago, saw a faux leather knee-length black one with a back zip on clearance in Sea...

Re: Halloween plans skirted, kilted or other?
Went nuts at Dress Barn the past few weeks so after I get the morning's rat killing done (figuratively speaking. No rodents will be harmed), I'm pulling on one of those billowy floor sweepers with a pair of tights, maxi length half slip and plain long-sleeved top. May smuggle the gear into my office...

Re: What do your children think ?
No no, something's getting lost in the translation here. His mom is an ardent Trump supporter and she was one of the first people I outed myself to/first to be encouraging that what I was doing wasn't a crime against nature, but she did that 180 and the rest of the family are the very folks Trump an...

Re: What do your children think ?
Just wish in hindsight I would've bodyslammed him. He's like 80 pounds in winter clothes. Soaked. How humiliating would that have been for his insecure little self? You just got your posterior handed to you by a guy in a ground-length broomstick skirt. Can you say "attitude adjustment," te...

Moonshadow, You're not wrong. Don't want this to go political as I know there's a wide spectrum on here politically, fair enough, but 1. His mum's a big Trump/Pence fan. 2. His dad's Libyan. 3. His (the godson's) middle name is Mohammed. 4. He went to uni to be a pilot, annnnnnnnnnnnnd yes, no mista...
