Re: Claytons Utility Kilts
I received my pleated mini skirt from Australia yesterday. It looks great, and I can hardly wait to hike in it. I picked the gray one and it is a little dark as compared to the pictures. I may order a brown one too. The fabric is light weight and will be great for hiking in warm weather. http://www....

Re: Skorts
I recently bought a pleated mini skirt from Australia that I really like. It will be great for hiking. Lightweight, pleated for flexibility, looks a lot like a utility kilt although a little short for some here. This skirt was mentioned on this site somewhere so I checked it out. Arrived yesterday a...

Re: Summer...to shave or not to shave?
I clip & shave the hair on my legs fairly regular. Shaved legs maximizes the feel of being touched when my wife gets frisky. I think shaved legs look better with a skirt.

Re: Claytons Utility Kilts
Great review on these skirts. I looked them up and decided to try one myself. I ordered the gray and will find out in a week or two if I like them.

Re: Hiking in a kilt
I just finished a 2 week hiking trip to Blue Ridge Georgia on the BMT. It was too warm to hike well even wearing a 16-17" light weight skirt. The new lightweight fabrics are great for warm weather hiking. Wearing a longer kilt in a heavier fabric would really have been too hot. I would love to ...

Re: Skorts
Many of the "Skirts" I have purchased recently have built in shorts inside. What's the point?? I usually just cut out the short and I have a skirt that is 17-18" and is quite comfortable. The Nike Golf Dri Fit ones are some of my favorites. The plaid ones are especially comfortable an...

Re: Middle Age and the Miniskirt
I am 70yrs old and I enjoy wearing skirts that are about 18" long. They work well for hiking and cover enough to look nice. The best ones I find are the Nike Golf Dri Fit ones. They look good and are cool enough to making hiking fun. I have some denim ones but use them only when it is cooler ou...

Re: Crazy in Alabama
I am from Georgia and have started wearing skirts a few years ago while hiking in the mountains. Skirts are more comfortable for me than kilts because you can get them in lighter fabrics and in shorter lengths so they are cooler. I have a couple of kilts I wear for more formal occasions but skirts f...

Re: Greeting from SW Virginia!
Hi Moonshadow Last year I hiked thru Damascus wearing a skirt. I did not get much further because I developed a case of shin splints. My skirts are quite a bit shorter that the one you show on your website but I find the shorter ones are cooler and less weight I have to carry on the trail. I seldom ...

Re: New from Virginia
Hi Kevin, I too wear a skirt to hike in. I live in Georgia and have hiked in GA, NC & TN. I have seen only a few skirted men on the trail. Some hikers ask (especially the lady hikers) about my wearing a skirt. I for one have a hard time wondering why more women do not wear a skirt since they are...
