Re: Here we go again...
I'm glad Carl keeps the forum a lean machine. The start up is fast and navigating is also swift. Many years ago I met an older American guy at a camp site in the South of France. Early in the morning he was hacking away at a laptop when laptops were still a novelty. I asked about his laptop and we s...

Re: It's all about "sex"
Maybe the World Happiness Report gives some indication why people leave countries to find something better. Maybe I'm the only exception to that rule. I went from the Netherlands (#5) to the USA (#19). But my wife makes up the difference and more.

In Europe there is also a code on the label. With the code they can trace back the whole process until the animal. Also the country of origin is mentioned and the way the animal was raised, free range or not.

Re: Pyjama Skirt?
That pyjama skirt is somewhat intriguing to me. I will give it a shot but with some modifications as soon as I find time. I'm busy with the extension of a closet to house my growing amount of skirts.

Re: On statues...
As an off-topic to the off-topic I can add something to my mention of general Van Heutsz who ended the uproar in Atjeh around the 1900s. Two brothers of my grandfather were marines under Van Heutsz and fought over there. They came back quite shattered and they retired to a military nursing home in t...

Re: On statues...
I think there is a difference between remembering and glorifying. If you put a statue on a prominent place, it is glorifying. Put the same statue in a museum with some clarification, it is remembering and educational. A statue or monument of a "wrong" person can still be a work of art and ...

Re: Spot the mistake...
With my fault seeking nature, I spotted it even before I was reading your text. ;) It does not look like an error in writing so it must have come from something. Are the other plots to the West also of the same wrong size? Is there a way to find out why and how this error was made? Do you have marke...

Re: Small bag to attach to skirts
If you use a belt than your problem is more or less solved. With a fabric bag make a wide loop or two smaller loops on top and put your belt through.

Re: Here we go again...
That sounds so familiar. The worst are the socalled experts by intuition. They think they know the answer to the problem but are afraid to open a cabinet or dig into settings. They try to impress you with their "knowledge," can not define the problem but know the solution. I go along the t...

I'm with you.Happy-N-Skirts wrote: ↑Mon Jun 01, 2020 4:58 pm I like to think of my clothing choice as being practical. Function outweighs form.
I don't need to reason about my skirt wearing other than it is practical and very comfortable. Maybe this attitude makes my life somewhat boring but I'm fine without the extra ballast.

Re: Pandemic Shutdown Skirting
Thank you everybody for the encouragement! I wish it was that easy to just flip the switch and start wearing skirts in public. It could go perfectly, or hurt my business ….. where I live and what I do, its a risk not worth taking at the moment. But you never know, things may change down the road! I...

Re: Small bag to attach to skirts
And before you know it, you have re-invented the good old sporran. ;) There are also carabiner clips. Just check the hardware in your DIY store. You also have to take into account the width of the belt loops. Some are small (1/2") and some are wide. The clip has to be able to get around the loo...
