Re: Men have "more individualism" but dress up to conform more?
For me, women support each other, even if unknown. Men on the whole compete and on the whole do not form a supportive network. Interestingly, I have heard from multiple women that women-only groups can become terrible places, with backstabbing, subtle put-downs, grudges and just plain old nastiness...

Re: Doing away with "Embracing feminity"
Never been asked am I embracing my feminine side, not even when directly challenged as I have been, 5 times in 13 years. For me I am not embracing my feminine side simply embracing my freedom of choice, expression and individuality as a man, just as women are allowed by society as women. I Don't thi...

Re: Don't worry, most people know we're not trans
In 13 years of publicly invading the society labelled woman's wardrobe I have only been asked once as to how I want to be identified and that was three weeks back. A woman in trousers, very manly in appearance asked while in conversation, while I was skirted. My reply was, how do you want to be iden...

Re: Men have "more individualism" but dress up to conform more?
We've heard time and time again how men are more individiualistic while women tend to be more collectivist. Another example of the human condition and a paradox, Liu Bang. Personally, I do believe that most people are steeped in. and influenced by, the collective, we tend to be social animals at he...

Re: Returning like a bad penny ?
Hello Tim, Radiostar, Bobclops. Good to hear from you again. We first met (online) a good 12 years back as Bobclops. I kept my site going, always remember your help with Joomla. I rebuilt when 1.5 came out and did the same last winter for version 4. Lot easier for a novice than the transfer sequence...

Re: Hi from 'sunny' Manchester UK
Hello from N Yorkshire Glad to hear you persisted despite the negativity. At least on this forum you can talk with like minded men. I was told in my earlier days, that urban is more accepting than the rural. I find it the opposite quite honestly and I am very rural. A very small minority of locals a...

Re: Hello from Middle England
Hi JamieO'H from an adhoc member of this forum. Pleased to hear from another man in a skirt. Please do find the confidence to go public because when you do you will not regret it and ask why did I not earlier. The first time is difficult, all on here will admit that. It is different, breaking from a...

Hi Dave, from an adhoc member of this forum. Good to hear from another man in a skirt. Also you have a supportive wife and understanding children. You are right to adopt the attitude of you are who you are and not bothered about what others think. Always difficult going out in public the first time,...

Re: If you could eliminate one thing in the world, what would it be?
Fully agree Barleymower. If I had to choose only one then it would be clothing - freedom of choice, expression and individuality for all. Having said that I could happily be without people! They are the route of all problems via religion, politics, bigotry, hypocrisy... Then I would not be here so ...

Re: Skirts and names
IMHO a Screen Name is just that. So long as it is not offensive let it be. The content of replies will let you know what that member is, ethos and beliefs. The adjudicaters can close the account if that person brings the forum into disrepute by their posts or pushes expectations upon others within t...

Re: What people really think
Found this thread interesting and noted with interest the banter between Fred, Jamie001 and TSH. Society is made up of humans and every human has their interpretation for what they want, not others, or the person in question and this is the majority and many are bigots and hypocrites which is like t...

Re: Pessimism or Optimism?
Optimist. I am a glass half full person these days but with regards skirts, I already embrace my freedom of choice, expression and individuality as a man. I do no wait for the herd to make it available. If I want to do something and it is not doing harm to others then I do it. I needed Counselling i...
