Comme des Garcons skirts, and comments

Hi, Someone may have posted this already but I thought you might enjoy this news article about Comme des Garcons' line of skirts. The comments are interesting, in that many of them refer not to the fact of a man in a skirt, but much more about the style of skirts here. What they often say is, "...

How women react to perceived gender discrimination

It's interesting how much more active women are than men, when it comes to the freedom to display their bodies. A beach in California declared that women can't go topless, so they've declared that men must also have to hide their nipples! It's done in a goodnatured way but they're certainly serious ...

Re: "Dear Abby" Column on Men in Skirts

That is a great article, and great replies. Once you get mainstream people like football players and wives defending the trend, people who have no defensive stance, it pretty well is a sure thing to grow and grow. Well found!

Great idea! But such a terrible illustration, really a shame. Why does niche market stuff have to suffer from lack of ability?

Another question about posting

Hi again, I chose Post New Topic and came up with a screen that doesn't seem to mind which classification my new post goes into. The old style allowed me to enter a post while already in the subject area I was talking about. The new improved style doesn't seem very intuitive to me -- I just posted s...

Re: A quote from my supervisor

That's a great quote! Speaking of quotes, when someone quotes you from the Bible, and you feel the quote is absurd, you can ask them the following question: "People being what they are, do you believe everything they write today?" Their answer will naturally be, "no, of course not.&qu...

Hey, hope you enjoy your trip to London in July. There is so much to see, what with museums, galleries, markets, standard sights -- even a week wouldn't be nearly enough. Weather should be good too.

The guy's a nutcase! What's wrong with a longer item, or something with more weight to it? He's just doing it while riding the mower so he can flash. It's pretty ugly and just links the two ideas in people's minds. Creepy. Even if a woman had been doing that, people would peg her for what it was -- ...

I may be wrong but I thought you quit last year sometime? I remember writing in response to it.

You must have thought it useful to wear kilts at one stage or you wouldn't have the login name that you have. So it's not so much that there's no reason, but that your idea has changed?

Wow! I'm impressed at your analysis! I used to program for MiPs, DEC, ICL minis, RISC chips, as well as VAX/VMS systems. I was flabbergasted at how software would be compiled for one machine and fail miserably on another. I was also amazed that ICL took 8 months once to deliver me a part. I wrote to...
