Recently returned from a trip to Texas, Dallas and Houston. Weather was cold so I took a selection of long skirts and boots topped off with sweaters and a nice jacket. Had a fun time visiting with some friends, seeing the sights and hot tubbing. Had a few quizzical looks, and a comment from a lady t...

Re: Should we be SkirtCafe?
IMHO I think SkirtCafe says all that needs to be said in a good way and the name should be retained. Also, my girlfriend has mentioned SkirtCafe in her new book when talking about the choices men have in dressing with more flair or fashion. As has been mentioned before, just because you wear a skirt...

Re: Doing New York City---IN A SKIRT!!
Around the Holidays last year I spent ten days in New York and the surrounding area. With my girlfriend, SO, we rode the trains ,ferries, visited the sights and had a great time together. I wore skirts the whole time, had two positive comments that I looked good, from women. The skirts were denim. I...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"
I saw 2 skirted males in a recent trip to San Francisco. There was a sighting at the Gem and Mineral show in Denver,Co. and at the Indian Mart some months back.

restroom or loo symbols
Has any one noticed the mark for the women's restroom is a skirted figure ? Isn't this politically incorrect these days ?

Re: Ladies' skirts that should look good on men...
I prefer the zipper on the side or the back for a clean look and some are elastic or drawstring waist. About half of my skirts have a front zipper, some left, mostly right. I guess I'm ambidextrous, I use the hand that works with which ever zipper.

Re: skirt slits part 2
Thank you Owen. I forget that some of the people here can be very specific when talking about skirt construction and design. I need to be more specific when I post.
Thanks,

skirt slits part 2
I recently aquired two skirts of the wrap style, one mid calf and the other just below the knee length. I'm finding the wrap style much more convient than I had previously thought. The length is good for cooler weather and the cut is fairly straight but the slit gives plenty of room for my stride wi...

Re: What are we wearing as we post, part Trey
Just got back to denver, co. after an extended stay in cal. During the whole time I only wore skirts. Mostly knee and calf length and a variety of materials. I was compleatly comfortable the entire time. But I do find myself starting to do routine things when wearing. Like smoothing the skirt on my ...

Re: What did *you* wear "out and about" today? part2
Drove to Albq, N.M. from Denver, Co. Fri. to watch my oldest grandson compeat in a small robot competion. Very interesting what these kids are doing. Didn't wear a skirt because he is not comfortable yet with me in a skirt so I wore jeans. I did put on a skirt to drive back. I have to say , I saw mo...

Re: What did *you* wear "out and about" today? part2
Flew from Denver, Co. To San Jose, Cal. for 7 days. Went sightseeing , attended a conferance, the usual stuff. Didn't take any pants, wore skirts the whole time except when I was at a clothing optional resort, where I was nude part of the day, it was cold. I saw a few glances and smiles at the skirt...

Re: Legs
In the cold weather I wear black tights. Some times with shorter skirts I will wear PH because my legs look better. They are scarred to some extent, and some sort of covering makes them look better. Some times I wear knee hi sox in cooler weather or tall boots. And, yes my legs are shaved.

Re: Alternate universes
I was at a recent small party, dressed in a long denium skirt, sweater and tall boots, it was the middle of winter, when 2 women entered with a TV. Nice enough looking, long hair, conservative makeup, nice blouse, manicure, pumps, pantyhose and Levis jeans. I would think the jeans would be the first...

Re: What are we wearing as we post, part deux
Right now I'm wearing a calf lenght denium skirt and black tee shirt.
I'm packing for an 8 day road trip to Cal. and back and I'm only packing skirts and some tights for cold weather, along with polos and sweaters and tee shirts.
Later,

Re: An unexpected comment
I was recently asked at the health club if wearing a skirt was a European thing. I replied that the skirt was very comfortable. He asked where he could buy a skirt and I said any whear that sells skirts. Then he said it looked good and shook my hand. Even though I have worn skirts sporatically for s...
