I am not a crossdresser because I am not attempting to appear as a woman. Crossdressers attempt to deceive folks into believing that they are a woman. I disagree with this, though I think it's just a matter of terminology. To me, a "crossdresser" just wears women's clothes without attempt...

My guess is because wearing anything that looks foreign is believed to be even more offensive to some people, than wearing something vaguely feminine.
