Re: Sir Garyson Perry is "just a man who likes to wear dresses"

Unfortunately, it is easy to imagine progress towards MIS stalling. A few reasons: 1. Society's generally tendency towards social conservatism. 2. Lack of imagination in regards to mens wear. (Members are definitely mavericks in this regard). 3. Opposition by significant others/family. 4. Young wome...

Re: Sir Garyson Perry is "just a man who likes to wear dresses"

I completely agree with this statement, however I believe that it is at least 25 to 50 years ahead of its time. I believe that there are several issues with Skirts being normalized for men. Please keep in mind that these issues represent only my thoughts on the matter. 1. I have said in the past th...

Good way of making the distinction.

Re: Ballet Flats and Mary Janes Back on the Runway

This is good news. If skirts for men are going to catch on, we need shoes for men to go with them. Most men's formal shoes are ugly, and better partly hidden under a trouser cuff... The shoes are typically clunky. And the more formal shoes-intended for suits, for example-are extremely limited in te...

Re: Skirt from a tablecloth?

It's absolutely possible, but depending on the diameter of the tablecloth (which will define the hem length) it may be somewhat difficult to find the precise centre which then means that the maths to get the size of the waist right so the tablecloth can be properly cut in precisely the right way. B...

Re: skirts for men

while searching for something, I came across this. looks promising, and the price isn't bad either https://www.skirtcraft.com/ I actually backed the Aqueous skirt on kickstarter and I have two of them. Good quality skirts with good pockets, made for all genders. Macabi is also marketed towards both...

Re: What feminine items do you wear?

Why does this double standard exist? Yes, why is it in a world where there is precious little room for traditional masculinity in the ecosystem where the women now inhabit every last micro-hectare? I'll posit that it has precisely nothing to do with "inferiority" or "superiority"...

Re: What have you discovered through wearing skirts and dresses?

Thinking about the comments to this thread, as well as the link....

So, if a woman reacts positively to a man in skirts, it is likely that he is:

1. Accepted as, but merely as, a casual acquaintance.

or....

2. Taken in as one of the girls.

Re: What have you discovered through wearing skirts and dresses?

Indeed, jamie001. Members have commented that, when they finally start to wear a skirted rig out and about, they have a new found reason to care about their appearance. In contrast to typical drab male attire. There is little incentive to concern yourself about your appearance, because the result wi...

Re: Finally - Too Tired

I am 67. Yeah, been slowing down too.

Also, I have noted the changes in physically appearance over the last couple years. Neck/throat looks gaunt. My skin has begun to look like that of old people.

Such is the transition from late middle age to the young-old years.
