Re: Sightings "in the wild"

Let's see.. Yes I did put up a couple of posts on this subject but the closed minds just skipped over them as if I hadn't bothered to post. Closed minds.

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

I think that is very valid. Why do some of us insist on wearing the "impractacle" skirts? To be different? To be more comfortable? To appear more sexy? All of the above I suspect. Me? I love to see men break out of their self imposed straight-jacket. Besides the fact that it is a whole lot...

You should be able to install Xnview on an ipad, and then you can easily have any number of pixels you like. Try 1000 pixels for this site.

Re: My "Part-Time" Job

That system of connecting is used on many speaker cabinets and is always really good as it cuts through any oxidation build-up.

Re: Botch upon botch

Well, I do like a bit of "flouncy" in a skirt, but I have not until now had an actual pleated skirt. But it just happen's that I have one coming from Damart as an experiment. "Check" pattern, quite heavy material as a "winter" skirt. Slightly "kilt-like".

Re: Gardening

Early Winter here, but prepatations for Spring are already happening.
Weeding as necessary, mulching as usual.
Most in the photo are spraxias, very bright and pretty, but there are always surprise ones which may have never been seen before!

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

I've just returned from 5 weeks in New Zealand on holiday with Mrs Mac. We were based in Wellington but went on a few road trips. On one of the latter up near Bay of Islands we called in a small roadside shop for supplies and were served by a man in a short white cotton dress and cardigan. He seeme...

Re: Dishdhasha, Man Dress!

Well not pleated, just really wide and heavily flexible. Totally synthetic as you say: the lable says: "95% acetate, 5% Lycra." Bloody lovely. Big swing along the road, a very good feel about the legs etc. A bit of recycling really, as the bodice dress was not great, and the skirt has alre...

Re: Dishdhasha, Man Dress!

You have a major smile going on there, Jack. Is that coffee in that cup or what? Well that would be telling! Took a walk to the shops in that one (on it's own) the other day. That very flexible velvet skirt is quite weighty and really swings, feeling superb around the legs. Immediately a "hell...

Re: Dishdhasha, Man Dress!

also a very nice one. When its colder, you are wearing tights or leggins in different colors. This fits perfectly. The different colors, cuts and lengths of dresses allow me a high variety of combinations and never it gets boring This men dress I found in a shop in Gaborone and its perfect on hotte...

Re: Dishdhasha, Man Dress!

Possibly more Goth than dIshdhasha.
Old velvet skirt recycled onto the bodice from a heavy cotton dress which had a grossly tiered skirt.

Re: Kirbstone - This is for you

Thanks for sharing that Billy Joel track. I've added it to my "likes" which means I can always find it. I was just browsing on the laptop, but I paused and plugged it into the HiFi, reorganised the lighting, got it onto full screen on the proper monitor, sat back on the couch, put it back ...
