Re: Can We Stop The Squabbling Please!

There is a presumption that because we all have an interest in unbifurcated garments, that we all have common aims, problems, and issues. It is not so. When I wear a kilt out and about the reactions are very different to when I wear a skirt. Furthermore, if I was to add hose, nail varnish, heels, an...

Re: Can We Stop The Squabbling Please!

In re-reading my last post, I was struck by a point: How can I complain about being bored, when I don't do more myself to post interesting stuff?! It's an excellent point, but my reason for it is perhaps more poignant. I am a member of X Marks The Scot, because I like wearing kilts aswell as skirts....

Re: Can We Stop The Squabbling Please!

I share some concern about the direction of the forum. For me, though, its not really a matter of not respecting the rights of others to wear what they like, but simply a matter of focus. It's not a complex issue: I also belong to a few aviation forums. If people started chatting there a lot about, ...

Re: Can We Stop The Squabbling Please!

I am surprised that this point is not obvious: There are no strict "bravehearts" left at SkirtCafe. There haven't been any here for many years. Almost all left nearly 5 years ago. In early 2004 there was a major defection from SkirtCafe (then called Tom's Cafe), and around 80% of the membe...

Re: Can We Stop The Squabbling Please!

OK, for the sake of argument, can we define -- precisely , please -- what the difference between "braveheart" and "freestyler" is? These terms were originally introduced somewhere between 1997 and 2002 by "WDP" on Tom's Cafe. WDP is the owner of the kiltmen.com site an...

Re: Definitions

Hmmmm. Objection to the language. "Twat" is a derogatory term for the human female. I think you had meant "twit", slang for someone berefit in the IQ department. We have a conflict between American and British English here. Ziggy is using the word correctly, in the British conte...

Re: Tights article in The Daily Mail

<laughing> Now there's a question: would men find stockings and garter comfortable to wear themselves? Not necessarily frilly stockings and garters, but some kind of plain garter-like rig that would hold up a pair of long leg-coverings, the way men used to wear garters on the lower parts of their l...

Re: Tights site

You could say that the 'Tights Cafe', if you will, is the Delphi 'Legwear as Unisex Fashion' (LAUF) forum at http://forums.delphiforums.com/LegwearUF/start Geraden links to it. LAUF is a fairly active forum, with a chat room that operates most evenings. All posts are moderated, with a large group of...

Re: New products from Comfilon.

On the subject of "lingerie", there is/was a comment somewhere on the Comfilon site about their use of the term "pantyhose". In short, Comfilon initially thought it would be bad for business to try to describe their hosiery for men as "pantyhose" ... guys don't wear pan...

Re: A new look with socks and pantyhose

I have always gone against the grain and thought that sox DO go with tights - when I was a kid in the 70's it was the fashion for schoolgirls to wear black tights and white sox, I thought it highlighted their legs brilliantly - and I don't like to see legs taper down to the shoes, it kinda looks li...

Re: SkirtCafe Core Values

I apologise for not introducing myself earlier, having I joined a few months back. I am not someone who has a lot of say in general, but I did feel compelled to jump in here and thank Bob and Carl for taking over this forum and running it. I personally think you guys are doing a great job. I've been...
