Re: From the Atrium = A Set of Rules for Men Skirts-Opinions?

Thank you, Uncle Al, for those thoughts. “Anything goes” isn’t fashion freedom, it’s FASHION ANARCHY, and that ain’t never gonna happen! I think this misses the point. Anarchy is rule by nobody, and if you think that nobody should rule how other people dress, then (for what it's worth, using the ter...

Re: A lull in postings

For someone who starts with "no offence" you're sure piling the offence on pretty heavily. Peter v's words don't offend me. Note that he is posting from the Netherlands. It seems that English is not his first language. The only word of his that looks offensive to me is "narrow-minded...

Re: Aspie Roll Call

Although no doctor has clinically diagnosed me as having Asperger's or any similar condition, the symptoms are a fairly good fit for my personality: I have difficulty coping with uncooperative people. I like tasks which engage the brain but not the emotions (e.g. mathematical problems). In a debate,...

I think they're beautiful. They're all right so long as they're not too see-through or so floaty that they reveal too much leg.

I also like the sort of Indian-print skirt like this one They are wrap-around skirts, so one size fits all.

Indeed not. It takes balls to wear a skirt.

Not me! I'm as cleanshaven as I can get using an electric razor.

Some jewellery (see my jewellery thread). I get an ordinary haircut on the "men's" side of my local salon. None of those other things.

Jewellery

What jewellery/jewelry do you wear? I'm thinking of rings, bracelets, bangles, necklaces... in whatever material, not necessarily with jewels. I've recently started wearing wooden bangles (2 on each arm). It took a good deal of searching before I found any big enough that I can get them around my ha...

I use a kilt-pin at groin level To pin two layers together, or just to weight the top layer down? (It surprised me when I found out that the purpose of a kilt pin is just to weight the top layer down. If you pinned it to the next layer, there'd be a danger that the fabric could rip.) Good for you f...

I was in the Gallery. I didn't want to have to stand throughout the concert, which you'd have to do if you were in the Arena. With all those layers, the petticoat provides quite a comfortable cushion. Just before the start, as I relaxed, sitting on the floor, one arm against a railing, and the skirt...

It sounds as if you'll have fun! I think that's a good idea, getting a longer skirt as well as your miniskirt. It's good to be able to choose the length of skirt according to what you'll be doing. A mini can reveal rather a lot of leg when you sit. A long skirt might get muddy if you'll be outdoors ...

Here in Essex, as in much of England, we've had pretty lousy, rainy weather for the last 2 months or so. Not fun to be out in, even in a skirt. However, today has been dry, and I am wearing a light rayon [viscose] skirt, tie-dyed with blue, purple and black being the main colours. Now that I am in s...

Hello, Owen!

Good on you for having the courage to go out in a skirt in the daytime.

How much overlap is there in the wrap skirt you describe? I was just wondering how easy it would be for it to accidentally "unwrap" and expose rather more than you meant!
