This “there is only one truth” sounds like the sort of thing a religious lunatic would spout. I’m sure that’s not you, nor what you intend, but rhetoric that deals in absolutes isn’t a good way of engaging in conversation.

Al
I like these.
I wear squared off Speedos - heading in the direction of the look you shared, Al.
I refuse to wear shorts while swimming. They slow me down. I also refuse to wear Speedos in built up areas. Each garment has a function.

Re: Theory: Men Hate Fashion/Dressing Up Because We Can't Wear Skirts
Not sure I agree. You’re placing budget constraints on clothing then complaining that there’s little choice. At least that’s what I read. There can be a good choice in mens’ clothing. I have red, orange, pink trousers, ranging from tight to baggy through corduroy. My shirts can be flowery, pink, che...

Re: Man in skirt wins Eurovision
I told my girlfriend about my skirt wearing on our first date ( I didn’t think of it as a date, as I didn’t fancy her then). I also showed her my opaque tights under my suit.
She’s now my wife of 12 years. I still wear skirts and tights.

Rivegauche,
Do you really think you need another skirt when you say you have 1,000? That number seems excessive not to mention environmentally destructive…

Al, I defer to your considerable knowledge on music. That’s one debate I’m not going to win!

Re: Hypothethical Question
I have a kilt suit. It’s not tartan.
Not sure what that all means apart from the fact that I like it.
I get lots of compliments when I wear it.

Re: Sightings "in the wild"
Shrewsbury U.K. , today.
Young chap, mildly androgynous, knee length brown skirt, grey tights, shoes unknown, walking along with two friends, both male, trousered.
I was with two female colleagues. Both were very relaxed aboit what they saw.
Result.

Steve, was it not James VI (6), not James IV (4) who became James I of England (& Wales)?

Re: What have you discovered through wearing skirts and dresses?
I did. In 2008 I met a woman. From the outset I stated that I had an expanded clothing range including skirts, tights and heels.
She was okay with that. She’s now my wife. She’s still okay with me wearing what I want. Well, less so the heels!

Yesterday in Birmingham, UK A tall lanky gent. Must have been approaching 7 ft tall. (2m 15cm). Very skinny. Mostly legs. Long braided hair, looked like Iggy Pop. Black top, black T-shirt, short black skirt and about 4 feet of long skinny legs clad in thick black tights. I think the footwear was doc...
